Tirador is the alias of Diego López Bueno, a visual and conceptual artist based in Madrid. His work questions the concept of authorship through the appropriation of images, interacts with new technologies and analyses the new codes of communication born of the Internet.

In his live visual sets, Tirador manipulates the source material he finds, always paying close attention to the new aesthetics of the digital age. He works with all types of visual noise, supports and techniques including glitches, 3D rendering, VHS tape or analogue film.

For his first time at MIRA, he will perform a specially curated set to accompany Venetian Snares x Daniel Lanois’ live show, for which he is collaborating directly with Daniel Lanois on a few exclusive audiovisual compositions. We cannot wait to experience the results.
