EL SUEÑO DE HYPARCO deconstructing AMBIENTES HORMONALES feat. ALBA G. CORRAL LIVE A/V (ES)
El Sueño de Hyparco was the legendary Madrid-based project formed in the mid-80s by iconic Spanish musician, writer and filmmaker Antonio Dyaz (aka Klaus Böhlmann). Influenced by seminal bands like Tangerine Dream and with the initial idea of emulating the sound of the dark and sinister side of pre-90s Berlin, they embarked on a sonic journey that took them to the furthest regions of the human psyche.
Last year the recently established label Urpa i Musell, linked to the emblematic Discos Paradiso record store in Barcelona, reissued their album “Ambientes Hormonales”, originally released in 1990 on the bands own Hyades Arts label. A conceptual record that was initially conceived as a multi-media performance piece integrating live electronic instrumentation, slide projections, sculptures and actors.
28 years after its release, the band will play live again for the first time in many years in an exclusive show for MIRA. In collaboration with live generative visual work by Barcelona-based visual artist and activist Alba G. Corral, “Deconstructing Ambientes Hormonales” will be a performance based on new pieces developed from the original sound material of the album. A truly unique experience not to be missed.
